This brought me so much joy to read!!! I felt like I was in a conversation with a friend about all these products and I loved it. Knowledgeable and informed but not too much ❤️
Great question! They both have a peptide blend, and antioxidants. I think the biggest difference is that the Anfisa has ceramides, cholesterol + fatty acids which are the building blocks of our skin barrier (or lip skin barrier), while the replenisher has jojoba esters, shea butter and occlusives. I truly feel like the Anfisa heals my lips from the inside out, and sinks into my lips, where the replenisher sits more on top to protect the lips (in addition to the plumping + firming peptides which are in both). The anfisa feels more like a serum, the replenisher feels more like a lip balm.
I always love trying new products but that tower 28 moisturizer really is the best daytime moisturizer for rosacea! I’ll be going back to it as soon as I finish the one I currently have
I thoroughly loved reading this post ! I always look forward to your post and appreciate how much time and effort you put into your content. I’ve found so many great products through your recommendations ♥️
I’m re-introducing myself to Jordan Samuel again. Used his products waaaay back in the day when the Aftershow cleanser debuted. Really surprised how much I like the Cream cleanser-I thought the silt might be too much for my dry leaning skin but it’s the perfect “extra” clean.
Seems Naturium is phasing out the sensitive skin line—I like having that lotion on hand to tone down dewiness of my skincare layers. Many creams/moisturizers/lotions seem to lean more dewy these days.
I need to chat with Susan and see if they really are. I feel like they keep saying it’s not going anywhere, but the cleanser has been OOS forever! It was a favorite launch of theirs, for me. I am so glad you’re loving the JSS products! He has so many staples in my routine.
Love, love, love reading your empties post! I’m really curious about the Triphala Pigmentation Corrector—do you use it am or pm? Curious how it compares to products like mother science molecular serum (which I’m trying for the first time)? Does it replace vitamin c?
I picked up several Jordan Samuel products during his Black Friday sale, and it’s my first time using them. I am so impressed with everything! The gel eye cream is fantastic—I use it as a base and layer something creamier on top once it dries. The performance cream, gel and cream cleansers, and hydrating serum are all excellent as well. But the real standout for me is the mandelic acid mask—it’s magic. I’m astonished by the glow it gives, with results similar to the BR Biomagic Mask at a fraction of the price!
Agree with the Dove scent! It’s so strong and a little cloying for me personally, but I do like how their hair products perform (and the price! Amazing). Wishful thinking they could do a more woodsy citrusy clean scent like Crown Affair.
Have you tried or plan to test any products from Roz? I’m v intrigued with their stuff, but it kinda seems they leave out the truly efficacious ingredients for more “clean” swaps which makes me hesitate. Love these posts so much Devan!
Great newsletter! I really want to try Jordan Samuels as both you and Charlotte Palermino have great things to say. Is there any one product you would recommend to someone new to the brand? (Preferably not cleanser or moisturizer as I've got those dialed in, both Dieux but of course.)
One more thing, sorry! I saw a Futurewise bottle in one of the pics but didn't see text in the post about it. Curious if that was an intentional omission bc the product sucks? I really like their slug balm above all others I've tried (inc Dieux) but haven't tried anything else of theirs.
Loved this list, thanks for being so detailed and thorough with your thoughts/opinions. You have one of the best substacks, I really look forward to them!

That’s exactly what I was hoping for!! I’m so happy you loved. Thanks for reading 🫶🏼
Love a good empties post, but the detail you bring makes it so much more than that!
I simply don’t know how to shut up I think— LOL!! I love chit chatting about the nitty gritty. Thanks so much for reading! <3
How would you compare the Anifsa Lip Treatment to the Revision Youthful Lip Replenisher? Both pricey…but curious about the differences
