I'm still recovering from the White Lotus finale. I'd read some theories that correctly guessed the outcome, but I was still surprised. I felt like the outcome of the three gal-pals felt really realistic though. He really understood that dynamic!
Thank you, as always, for the recs! Have you tried the Makeup by Mario SoftSculpt skin enhancer? It looks stunning on The Lipstick Lesbians and I am thisclose to pulling the trigger even though I absolutely don’t need it 😆
Yes! I have a review of it on Instagram from when it launched. I loved the color— but I didn’t like how it felt on my skin. It just felt a bit too heavy, and doesn’t really set down.
So funny, I bought those same 3 things from the sale. I looove the SP moisturizer so far but haven’t tried the serum yet. I’m on the fence about the Westman contour as I’ve never used contour before and it does look a bit warmer than I was hoping. And I loved the White Lotus finale last night! Not sure why there’s so much blowback on it, though. 🤷🏼♀️
It definitely is neutral/leans warmer which a why I like it as a bronzer! I think milks stick is a true cool tone for contour. I loved the white lotus finale too!
I so appreciate you sharing your favorites!! Your skincare rec’s have been so spot on. I was just thinking my skin seemed more sensitive lately, but I haven’t been using my Dieux serum, so I’ll have to add that back in!
I spent my skincare budget this month on K and J beauty to have some backups on hand in hopes the tariffs won’t wreck my skincare routine. And I’m looking forward to the Jones Road tinted moisturizer launch tomorrow. (The WTF is my favorite foundation!)
The JR Tinted Moisturizer is so so good. I prefer it to actually every other base product I own. Coverage is light (perfect, my skin but better, but not in an “I’m obviously wearing makeup” way), it is comfortable (not drying or heavy). I only need a little bit, along with the JR face pencil for spot concealing. I reach for it over everything else, even over just using concealer.
Good morning - I love your Substack and look forward to reading it every week! How do you incorporate the Dieux serum in your skincare? I just bought it to try out since I've decided to give up on Vitamin C (my skin is just too sensitive).
Solidarity in avoiding vitamin c - I can’t use it either! I’ve found other good antioxidants/brightening ingredients, but it’s annoying when companies just add vitamin c for a bit of brightening - just, no.
This post is just what I needed to keep my mind off the craziness that's going on. When you use the Deux serum to help with retinoid sensitivity, do you use it before or after your retinoid and how long do you want in between applying them? I loved the White Lotus finale. It was so sad but really well done. I love The Pitt and am so bummed that tomorrow is the last episode. Thanks for all your hard work putting this post together!
I have been trying to figure out what lipliner to buy and while reading this list thought “wow…that tower 28 liner looks familiar” 🤦♀️ I literally bought it during another sale from your recommendation! I used it immediately and remembered it’s a bit warmer than I wish it were…are the Glossier or Saie liners linked here cooler?

I honestly loved that little dinner monologue! I felt so seen ❤️❤️

I wish the Sophie Pavitt wasn’t so expensive!!
It for sure is a bit pricey! The sale makes it a bit less painful.

Yay! I'm glad I'm not alone! I've wasted too much money trying to find a Vitamin C that will work for me :)
This newsletter is bad for my credit card 😂

The glossier and saie liners are cooler, I think merit Mayfair is the coolest though!
